There are even parts of the game in which you may lose a limb. That’s a bold statement, yes, but there are enough geysers of grue, broken bones, severed limbs, and various other ways of evisceration to totally back it up.Īside from punching and tearing with your bare hands, there are weapons galore including cleavers, the limbs of your enemies, shotguns, chainsaws, and yes, the franchise’s trademark tried and true 2×4. Simply put, this is probably the single most violent game I’ve ever seen. Let’s face it, though no matter how cool the setting, this game’s main attraction is without a doubt the character models and all the macabre and brutal things you can do to them. The mansion, though dark in places, is the perfect setting for this haunted slice of mayhem, and each room and hallway does a good job of giving players a lot of variety in terms of eye candy.

The graphics engine presented here is truly a sight to behold. It’s all in the execution, baby, and believe me when I tell you if there’s one thing Splatterhouse excels in, it’s execution. Sure, the story is something we’ve seen or heard one hundred times before.

Splatterhouse will be available in Q3 2010 for the Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION ®3 computer entertainment system.Average no more, upon putting the mask on, Rick is transformed into a raging hulking behemoth of a man, ready to cause as many unthinkably violent horrors to anyone or anything that dares to get in his way.

Full of desperation, Rick dons the “Terror Mask” and is transformed into a raging juggernaut exemplifying unadulterated violence and destruction. West and his horde of horrific abominations, Rick comes across a mystical sentient mask that promises to give him the power to reunite with Jennifer. Splatterhouse follows college student Rick Taylor as he embarks on a mission to rescue his girlfriend, Jennifer, who has disappeared after entering a mysterious run-down Mansion inhabited by an elusive scientist. When pounding flesh into malleable heaps of viscous flesh, it’s good to know Rick’s got options. Rick can annihilate, dismember, and utterly destroy his enemies with a menagerie weapons, including a 2×4, baseball bat, cleaver, shotgun, and the massively devastating chainsaw. Designated into categories such as bludgeon, edged, and ‘extra brutal’ weapons, Rick’s arsenal enables him to literally explode bodies into visceral chunks. This latest set of assets highlights the devastating weapons that Rick can acquire and use in game.
